In plain English: We built Eclipse to work for two people. We store only what's needed to make that work — your Apple user ID, your first name, your chores, your partner link. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and you can delete everything from inside the app at any time.
1. Who we are
Eclipse ("we," "us," or "the app") is an iOS application designed for couples to share household tasks. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how to delete it.

Account information
- Apple user identifier (a private token from Sign in with Apple — never your Apple ID email unless you choose to share it)
- First name you enter during onboarding
- Partner's first name you enter when inviting them
App content
- Chores you select and assign
- House rules and penalties you define
- Reminder preferences
- Completion timestamps, streaks, and nudges sent
What we do NOT collect
- Location data
- Contacts (we use the system share sheet — we never read your contacts)
- Photos, media, or microphone
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Third-party tracking data
3. How we use your information
Strictly to operate the app:
- Authenticate you via Sign in with Apple
- Sync chores, streaks, and nudges between you and your partner
- Deliver push notifications you opted into
- Process subscription purchases through Apple's in-app purchase system (handled by RevenueCat)

5. Data retention
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see below), we delete your data within 7 days.
6. Deleting your account and data
Two ways:
- Inside the app: Profile → Danger zone → Delete account. This permanently erases your profile, chores, streaks, rules, and partner link from our servers.
- By email: write to support@eclipseduo.com and we'll process your deletion within 48 hours.
Subscriptions must be cancelled separately via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Apple does not allow us to cancel on your behalf.
7. Children's privacy
Eclipse is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The App Store age rating is 4+ but use is intended for adult couples managing a shared household.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact us and we'll honor it.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update the "last updated" date above if we make changes. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.
