1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Eclipse, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. What Eclipse is

Eclipse is a consumer iOS app that helps couples manage household chores together. It's a tool, not a relationship counselor. We do not guarantee that Eclipse will improve your relationship, prevent arguments, or keep your home spotless.

3. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Eclipse (matching App Store rating requirements for relationship-oriented apps).
You authenticate via Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure.
Eclipse requires two partners to function. One subscription covers both.

4. Subscription, billing, and cancellation

Eclipse is a paid app with no free trial. You'll be charged immediately upon subscription.
Pricing: $14.99/month or $99.99/year per couple (one subscription covers both partners).
Subscriptions auto-renew through your Apple ID unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel on your behalf.
Refunds are handled by Apple per their App Store refund policy; we don't process refunds directly.

5. Your content

Chores, rules, partner names, and anything else you create inside Eclipse ("your content") remain yours. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit that content between you and your partner solely to operate the service.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Eclipse to:

Harass, threaten, or coerce another person
Violate applicable law
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or probe the app for vulnerabilities
Resell or rebrand the service

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime, but Eclipse depends on your internet connection, Apple's services, and our cloud providers. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will work on every device or iOS version.

8. Termination

You can delete your account anytime via Profile → Danger zone → Delete account. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms or create security risks. If we terminate without cause, we'll refund any unused portion of a prepaid annual subscription on a pro-rata basis.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Eclipse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Relationship outcomes are your responsibility.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of Eclipse will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction of residence, or if ambiguous, by those of England and Wales. Disputes should first be raised via support@eclipseduo.com.
